ROGERS, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) – Three suspects are behind bars following an armed drug robbery that occurred in Rogers on July 9, according to court documents and police reports.
The Rogers Police Department arrested DeAngelo Boyd, 25; Blair Bailey, 24; and Jessie Davis, 26, in connection with the robbery. Charges include aggravated robbery, theft of property, and possession of a firearm by a certain person. Boyd also faces charges for obstructing governmental operations.
The investigation began around 12:51 a.m., when police responded to an armed robbery near South Grand Avenue and West Capital Avenue. The victim, who had taken over a drug-dealing operation from someone known online as “Sawyer,” arranged to meet a buyer at 5100 West Park Avenue.
According to a probable cause affidavit, the victim was confronted by a masked man who tackled him while asking for “the stuff.” Three additional men, some masked, then joined in. The victim said one unmasked man — believed to be Boyd — held a gun to his face and stomach, demanding drugs and money. The suspects fled with a pink lunchbox containing the stolen items.
Surveillance footage later identified a burnt orange Kia Forte GT, which officers located around 1:54 a.m. Police stopped the vehicle and spoke to Bailey, the driver, and Boyd, the passenger. A search uncovered three cell phones and a pink .22 caliber pistol.
Bailey initially denied involvement, but later admitted to setting up a fake online account to lure “Sawyer” to the robbery site. She said her boyfriend, Boyd, and two other men — including Jessie Davis — carried out the robbery. Bailey claimed she was paid part of the stolen money for her role.
Boyd also admitted to arranging the meeting and witnessing the struggle during the robbery. He later identified Davis as being directly involved. Davis confessed to holding the victim during the robbery while Boyd allegedly pointed a gun at him. Davis claimed he did not keep any money or drugs.
A search of Boyd’s phone revealed Snapchat messages coordinating the robbery, including voice recordings believed to be Bailey’s.
The suspects have extensive criminal histories:
Boyd: prior convictions for felony theft and forgery, and an active parole violation warrant
Davis: multiple arrests for theft, breaking and entering, and fleeing
Bailey: prior conviction for theft of property
All three suspects are being held at the Benton County Jail:
Boyd: $250,000 bond
Davis: $250,000 bond
Bailey: $150,000 bond
They are scheduled to appear in court on August 18 at 8:00 a.m.
