Three Arrested for Smuggling Drugs Into Holman Prison

K-9 Unit Discovers Meth, Fentanyl, and More in Vehicle Search

ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Ala. (WALA) – Three individuals have been arrested after authorities intercepted an attempt to smuggle drugs and contraband into Holman Correctional Facility.

A K-9 unit detected a suspicious vehicle near the prison, prompting officers to conduct a search. Inside, they discovered large quantities of drugs, including methamphetamine, fentanyl, and marijuana, along with cell phones and vape pens.

The suspects, identified as Adam Malone, Audrey Kelly, and Frederick Cobbs, were taken into custody and booked into the Escambia County Jail. They face multiple charges, including drug trafficking, possession of a controlled substance, and attempting to smuggle contraband into a correctional facility.

Seized Items:
1008 grams of marijuana

88 grams of methamphetamine

20 grams of oxycodone

20 grams of drug-laced paper

4 grams of fentanyl

8 cell phones

12 vape pens

The Alabama Department of Corrections (ADOC) has confirmed that the investigation is ongoing, and additional charges may be filed.
