On Monday, police arrested three men in connection with a high-value theft case reported in the Pipraich area on August 2. Following instructions from SSP Raj Karan Nayyar and under the supervision of SP North, a joint team consisting of Pipraich police, the anti-theft cell, surveillance team, and ITMS successfully apprehended the suspects Ayaz Ahmad alias Babu, Irfan alias Munna, and Shamsher alias Mama.
During the arrest, police recovered stolen items including 11 gold rings, 2 gold necklaces, 2 gold chains, a pendant, 7 pairs of silver anklets, 6 pairs of silver toe rings, and a scooter. The total value of the recovered jewellery and cash is estimated at Rs 11 lakh.
According to Senior Superintendent of Police Nayyar, the theft took place when the homeowner was away at work, leaving the house unguarded. The accused broke a window to gain entry and stole gold, silver jewellery, and Rs 50,000 in cash.
Irfan and Shamsher have prior criminal records involving multiple thefts, robberies, and cases registered under the UP Gangsters Act, the police confirmed.
