Three Arrested for Ganja Transport in Udupi, Rs 8.42 Lakh Seized

Police seize 10 kg of ganja and cash in Brahmavar operation

Three individuals were arrested by the CEN Police in Udupi on November 15, 2024, for transporting a significant quantity of ganja from Mumbai. The police operation, led by Inspector Ramachandra Nayak, took place near K G Road Cross, Uppoor village, Brahmavar. During the operation, 10 kg 138 grams of ganja, valued at Rs 8,11,040, were seized along with Rs 1,570 in cash and three mobile phones worth Rs 1,570, bringing the total value of the seized goods to Rs 8,42,610.

The arrested individuals have been identified as Satyaraj alias Thambi Anna (32), Krishna (43), and Shakilesh (25), all residents of Uppoor, Brahmavar. A case has been registered at the CEN Police Station, and further investigations are ongoing.

The police have pledged to continue their efforts in tackling drug trafficking in the region, ensuring that those involved in illegal activities are brought to justice.
