The Bargarh Town Police have cracked the murder case of Chandan Kumar Raut (26), who was found with his throat slit on January 3 near the Hanuman Temple in Ghulipali. Three persons — Sumit Suna, Suman Urma, and Abhishek Patra — have been arrested in connection with the case and produced in court.
During the investigation, police seized a knife, a mobile phone, and a car allegedly used to commit the crime. Preliminary findings indicate that the murder was related to a love affair, according to Bargarh Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Padarabindu Tripathy.
Authorities confirmed that a swift investigation led to the apprehension of the accused, and further inquiries are ongoing to fully ascertain the circumstances surrounding the killing. The case has highlighted the role of personal disputes escalating into violent crimes.
