Police have arrested three individuals, including a woman, for allegedly obstructing law enforcement, manhandling a policeman, and aiding an accused in fleeing in Bassi Umar Khan village.

The incident occurred after Sukhdev Singh, the granthi of a local gurdwara, filed a theft complaint. When police arrived in the village to question the suspect, the accused—Sandeep Singh alias Kaka, Bhindi alias Lucky, and Bobi—allegedly assaulted the officers and assisted the suspect in escaping.

During the scuffle, a policeman’s uniform was torn, adding to the seriousness of the offence. All three accused have since been taken into custody and a case has been registered against them under relevant provisions of law.
