HOLDEN, Maine (WABI) – Thorr Ellis, a man wanted for violating conditions of release and tampering with a victim in a domestic violence case, is now in custody after a brief evasion from police.
On Friday, the Holden Police Department confirmed they were actively searching for Ellis. He had a warrant out for his arrest following allegations of domestic violence-related charges. When State Police attempted to arrest him at a home in Pittston, Ellis fled the scene.
Authorities later located Ellis hiding in the woods and took him into custody shortly thereafter.
Ellis is currently being held at the Penobscot County Jail while the investigation continues. Holden Police say they will evaluate potential charges against individuals who may have assisted Ellis in evading capture.
