Third Suspect Arrested in Connection to 2023 ATM Burglary and Car Theft in Assumption Parish

Deja Cohn, 27, taken into custody after a year-and-a-half-long investigation

NAPOLEONVILLE, La. — Authorities have arrested Deja Cohn, 27, a third suspect in connection with a car theft and ATM burglary that occurred in Assumption Parish in November 2023.

The Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office had responded to reports of an ATM burglary in November of 2023, during which a vehicle stolen from a nearby residence was linked to the crime. Initial investigations led to the identification of two suspects, both of whom have since been arrested.

Cohn, who had been wanted for her involvement, was apprehended in Texas in March 2025. Following her arrest, she was transported back to Assumption Parish and booked into custody on Sunday, April 6, 2025.

Principal to theft of a motor vehicle

Principal to theft

Principal to theft from an ATM

The investigation into the 2023 ATM burglary and car theft is ongoing, and authorities continue to work to resolve the case fully.
