Texas wide receiver Isaiah Bond was arrested Thursday on a sexual assault charge, just two weeks ahead of the 2025 NFL Draft, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport. Bond reportedly turned himself in to Frisco, Texas police to address an outstanding warrant and has since posted bond and been released.
Bond’s camp issued a statement denying the allegations, calling them “patently false.” He expressed his willingness to cooperate fully with the authorities and requested the public reserve judgment until a thorough investigation is completed.
Details regarding the specifics of the accusation, including the time and place, have not yet been disclosed.
This incident comes shortly after Bond attracted media attention for attempting to break Xavier Worthy’s 40-yard dash record but finishing with a disappointing time. Despite the arrest, Bond remains a mid-round prospect in the upcoming NFL Draft.
At 21 years old, Bond completed his first and only season with the Texas Longhorns, recording 34 receptions, 532 yards, and five touchdowns over 14 games. Prior to Texas, he spent two seasons at Alabama, where he made one of the most memorable catches in Iron Bowl history.
