Incident Details
The violence unfolded on Wednesday morning at Kuykendall Stadium in Frisco, Texas, during the University Interscholastic League (UIL) District 11-5A championship meet. According to Frisco Police, an altercation between two students escalated, leading to Metcalf being stabbed.
Emergency responders rushed Metcalf to a nearby hospital in unknown condition, but he later succumbed to his injuries. Authorities arrested Anthony at the scene. His bond has not yet been set.

Following the incident, the track meet was suspended, and students were sent back to their home campuses. Frisco ISD officials stated that the stadium was immediately secured to ensure safety.
The UIL released a statement expressing their deep sadness over the tragedy:

Metcalf was a Memorial High School student and football player, hoping to play at the college level. His social media bio described him as 6’0″, 220 pounds, and a linebacker, with an impressive 3.97 GPA.
