Texas Rapper G$ Lil Ronnie and 5-Year-Old Daughter Killed in Shooting; One Suspect Arrested, Another Still at Large

Authorities in Texas have arrested one of the two men suspected of murdering rapper G$ Lil Ronnie (Ronnie Smith, 30) and his 5-year-old daughter, R’Mani, in a targeted shooting at a car wash in Forest Hill earlier this week.

Birthday Celebration Turns Tragic
The fatal shooting occurred as G$ Lil Ronnie and his daughter were celebrating her birthday. Surveillance footage captured two armed men jumping out of a white Kia, chasing the rapper through the parking lot before firing multiple rounds.

The young girl was inside the car when the suspects fired several bullets into the vehicle, fatally striking her. Despite first responders’ efforts, both victims died at the scene.

Suspects Identified: One in Custody, One Still Wanted
The Forest Hill Police Department (FHPD) identified two suspects:

Adonis Robinson, 24 – A convicted sex offender who was released from prison in August 2023. He was arrested Thursday in Livingston, Texas.
Jakobe Russell, 21 – Has multiple assault convictions, including one involving a pregnant woman in 2023. He remains on the run.
Police Urge Public to Help Locate Second Suspect
Forest Hill Police Chief David Hernandez has labeled the suspects “armed and dangerous” and urged anyone with information to come forward.

“They’re scared. They’re cowards. They’re hiding. If you know where they are, let us know,” Hernandez stated.

Authorities continue investigating whether the suspects knew each other and the motive behind the attack.
