LAUREL, Md. – A violent confrontation on the afternoon of Tuesday, August 19, 2025, resulted in one man being stabbed and another arrested on attempted murder charges in Laurel, Maryland.
Police were dispatched to the 3300 block of Laurel Fort Meade Road around 2:30 p.m., following multiple 911 calls reporting two men engaged in a physical altercation—one of them reportedly armed with a knife.
When officers arrived on the scene, they found the two men still struggling. One of the men dropped the knife as police intervened. The other, a 33-year-old male victim, had sustained a stab wound to the torso.
Emergency personnel provided medical assistance on-site, and the victim was transported by fire department crews to a nearby hospital for further treatment. His condition has not been publicly disclosed.
Police arrested Terry Rodney-Jerome Hunter, 31, of Laurel, at the scene. He has been charged with:
Attempted first-degree murder
Attempted second-degree murder
First-degree assault
Second-degree assault
Reckless endangerment
Hunter was ordered to be held without bond pending further court proceedings.
The case remains under active investigation, and authorities have not yet disclosed what led to the altercation.
