WHITE COUNTY — Two Cleveland residents were arrested after White County authorities discovered over four pounds of marijuana during a law enforcement search.
The White County Sheriff’s Office reported that deputies initially stopped the vehicle of Terrie Datyl Lingerfelt, 52, and found both methamphetamine and marijuana during the traffic stop.
A subsequent search of Lingerfelt’s residence on Luther Palmer Road uncovered 4.5 pounds of marijuana, a Schedule IV controlled substance, and multiple drug-related items. Lauren Adams, 40, was present at the home and also taken into custody.
Lingerfelt faces charges including possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of methamphetamine, possession of a Schedule IV controlled substance, and possession of drug-related objects. Adams was charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of a Schedule IV controlled substance, and possession of drug-related objects.
Authorities continue to investigate the case.
