Terrence J McClinic, 43, of Rome, was arrested after a traffic stop on GA Loop 1 near Lavender Drive led to a major drug bust. Officers initially pulled McClinic over for an improper lane change and discovered he was driving on a suspended license.
During the stop, police found marijuana in his possession. After being booked at the jail, officers discovered over four ounces of Fentanyl.
McClinic now faces multiple charges, including possession of marijuana, driving on a suspended license, improper lane change, possession of drugs by an inmate, possession of a Schedule I controlled substance, possession with intent to distribute, and drug trafficking.
Authorities confirmed he is in custody pending further legal proceedings.
