North Charleston, S.C. — A 57-year-old North Charleston man, Terrance Wilson, was arrested Sunday and is facing multiple charges after allegedly obstructing a police investigation into a stabbing at a local event center.
According to the North Charleston Police Department, officers responded around 3:36 a.m. to a hospital where a woman reported being stabbed with a small keychain knife. Based on her account, police traced the incident to the Klux Event Center on Dorchester Road.
Upon arrival, officers discovered the crime scene in the women’s bathroom—but found it being cleaned by a man later identified as Terrance Wilson, believed to be part of the venue’s cleaning crew. Despite being ordered to stop to preserve evidence, Wilson refused to comply.
The building was filled with smoke and the smell of marijuana, according to officers on the scene.
When police detained and searched Wilson, they discovered a green bag in his pocket containing multiple substances:
1.4 grams of pink powder, testing positive for fentanyl
5.1 grams of pink pills, also testing positive for fentanyl
48.9 grams of multicolored pills, which tested positive for methamphetamine
Wilson claimed he found the bag on the floor of the event center.
He was arrested and booked into the Sheriff Al Cannon Detention Center. His bond was set at $105,000.
