OAK GROVE, KY – A routine patrol led to a major drug and firearm bust involving three individuals from Tennessee in Oak Grove on June 11.
Christian County Sheriff’s deputies were at the Circle K on Segler Drive when they observed suspicious behavior from 47-year-old William Howse of Nashville. As officers approached, Howse attempted to flee and was seen discarding a firearm.
Upon apprehension, deputies discovered Howse, a convicted felon, in possession of multiple illicit substances, including crack cocaine, marijuana, THC, ecstasy (MDMA), and psilocybin mushrooms. A backpack linked to him contained a large quantity of drugs and cash.
The vehicle’s driver, 48-year-old Edward Brauns, also of Nashville, was arrested after allegedly discarding suspected fentanyl and cocaine. A third occupant, 38-year-old Charity Seymour of Clarksville, was also detained.
