In a crackdown on property crimes, Karimnagar police on Monday arrested 22-year-old Teku Chiranjeevi, an alleged inter-district burglar linked to seven theft cases across Telangana.

Chiranjeevi is accused of committing:

Six thefts under the Karimnagar Police Commissionerate limits

One theft in Nizamabad district

Police described him as a habitual offender who targeted homes during late hours, stealing mostly gold and silver ornaments.

During the investigation, police also apprehended Bangaru Narasayya (44), who is believed to have purchased the stolen ornaments from Chiranjeevi, making him an accomplice in the criminal operation.

Authorities recovered a substantial quantity of gold and silver ornaments from Narasayya’s possession, believed to be from multiple house break-ins. Both suspects have been booked under relevant sections and are currently in judicial custody.

Police urged residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious movements in residential areas, especially during nighttime.
