FAIRFIELD, Calif. (FOX40.COM) — Two teens were arrested on July 10 in connection to a grand theft incident at Target, following a traffic stop in Fairfield.

Around 2 a.m., Officers Tom and Gomez-Bray were conducting maximum traffic enforcement when they pulled over a vehicle on East Tabor Avenue near Olive Avenue for a traffic violation.

Upon contacting the 19-year-old driver, officers discovered he was wanted for a recent grand theft at a local Target. All five occupants were removed from the vehicle during the stop.

During a search of the vehicle, officers found a fully loaded firearm under one of the seats, leading to the arrest of a 16-year-old passenger for illegal firearm possession.

An investigation later confirmed that both the 19-year-old and 16-year-old were involved in the Target theft and have been booked for their respective charges, according to the Fairfield Police Department.
