Teenagers Arrested in Webster County for Vehicle Theft

A 17-year-old and 18-year-old face multiple charges in connection to stolen vehicles found in Dixon

Webster County, Ky. — A 17-year-old and an 18-year-old were arrested in connection with an ongoing vehicle theft investigation in Webster County.

On Sunday, a deputy responded to a report of two abandoned vehicles on a property off State Road 132 East in Dixon. Upon investigation, it was discovered that both vehicles had been reported stolen. Following the discovery, authorities identified two suspects. The 17-year-old male and 18-year-old Josie Woods are now facing multiple charges.

The 17-year-old juvenile was also linked to a separate auto theft incident that occurred in the Dixon area in November. He has been placed in juvenile detention and faces the following charges:

Theft by Unlawful Taking (Auto) > $10,000 (2 counts)
Tampering with Physical Evidence
Josie Woods, 18, was lodged in the Webster County Detention Center and faces charges including:

Receiving Stolen Property (Auto) > $10,000
Tampering with Physical Evidence
Hindering Prosecution/Apprehension 2nd Degree
The investigation is ongoing, and additional charges are expected as deputies continue to assist the Kentucky State Police with further inquiries related to one of the stolen vehicles.
