Teenagers Arrested in Connection with Homewood Shooting

Two women injured in November 2024 shooting; suspects held without bond

Homewood, Ala. – Two teenagers have been arrested in connection to a shooting that left two women injured in Homewood on November 18, 2024.

The Homewood Police Department confirmed the arrests of 19-year-old Jacob Ja’mar Cottrell of Birmingham and 18-year-old Augustus Emanuel Bozman, Jr. of Bessemer. The suspects were taken into custody on December 18, 2024.

Both Cottrell and Bozman are facing serious charges, including two counts of attempted murder, shooting into an occupied vehicle, and first-degree robbery. They are currently being held without bond at the Homewood City Jail.
