WASHINGTON (7NEWS) — A teenager has been arrested in connection with a shooting that took place in Southeast, D.C. on Sunday, according to the Metropolitan Police Department.
Officials reported that on April 20, officers were dispatched to the 5300 block of Call Place in response to reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, law enforcement found a 16-year-old boy who had suffered a gunshot wound. The teenager was immediately transported to a nearby hospital, where he was treated for serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
Following an investigation, the Metropolitan Police Department identified 17-year-old Travis Thomas as the suspect. On Wednesday, Thomas was arrested and charged as an adult under Title 16 for Assault with a Dangerous Weapon.
