DAVIESS COUNTY, Ky. — Four teenagers from Evansville were arrested after leading deputies on a high-speed chase through the Deer Valley subdivision Friday evening, according to the Daviess County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies were alerted around 7:30 p.m. about a suspicious vehicle driving slowly with its license plate obscured by tape. The four occupants were reportedly wearing ski masks. When deputies attempted to stop the car near Valley Brook Trace, the vehicle fled.
During the chase, the suspects nearly collided head-on with another deputy. The pursuit ended on Hill Bridge Road near Highway 231, where heavy traffic forced the vehicle to stop.
All four teens — 19-year-olds Xazvier Hickman and Keavont Labrador, and 18-year-olds Lamareo Carter and Steven Harrell — were arrested and taken to Daviess County Jail.
Authorities recovered ski masks, a loaded AR-15 rifle, and a loaded 9 mm handgun, previously reported stolen, from the car.
The suspects face multiple charges, including fleeing and evading police, wanton endangerment of police officers, and reckless driving. Hickman is also charged with receiving stolen property related to the firearm.
The Sheriff’s Office encourages anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers at 270-687-8484. Callers may remain anonymous and could be eligible for a cash reward.
The investigation remains ongoing.
