Bryan Kobel, CEO of biotechnology company TC BioPharm, spoke out after being attacked by an Uber driver, leaving him unconscious and with a brain injury. The incident occurred in South Carolina in April following a dispute that quickly escalated.
Kobel told “America’s Newsroom” that he trusted Uber’s brand but was shocked by their response. Despite providing hospital records, a police report, and photos of his injuries, Uber deactivated his account 48 to 72 hours after the attack.
The driver, Vadim Nikolaevich Uliumdzhiev, 42, an illegal Russian national, was arrested on charges of second-degree assault and battery. He was released on a $10,000 bond and is now in ICE custody.
Kobel criticized Uber for failing to properly vet drivers, raising concerns about passenger safety and the company’s accountability.
