HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WCHS) — A 19-year-old man was arrested on Friday in connection to a double shooting and robbery that occurred in Huntington in late March, while a second suspect remains at large.

Tayvon Nelson, from Staten Island, New York, was taken into custody and charged with first-degree robbery following an investigation into the shooting on Collis Avenue on March 27.

Authorities also issued a warrant for Messiah Peddie, 19, of Washington, D.C., who is wanted for the same charge. The incident unfolded just after 11 p.m. when officers arrived to find two individuals with gunshot wounds. Both victims were transported to the hospital for medical care. Nelson himself suffered a gunshot wound during the altercation.

The investigation is ongoing, and police are actively searching for Peddie.
