BOCA RATON, Fla. — A woman accused of stealing from multiple stores in Boca Raton has been arrested twice in connection with a series of organized retail thefts, police said.
Tatyana Shavone Johnson is currently being held at the Palm Beach County Jail without bond.
According to the Boca Raton Police Department, officers partnered with local retailers and the South Florida Criminal Apprehension Team to investigate a string of thefts across the area.
On Halloween, Johnson was first arrested after allegedly stealing $700 worth of merchandise from a Dick’s Sporting Goods store. She was released on Nov. 1, but police say she soon targeted several Publix supermarkets, where she allegedly stole an additional $1,400 in goods.
Authorities say the investigation is ongoing and additional charges may follow.
