The Thampanoor police arrested Tara M., a financial company owner from Nemom, in connection with an alleged investment fraud case affecting investors across Kerala.
Tara, who runs a firm based in Thycaud, was apprehended at Bengaluru airport upon her arrival from abroad. The case involves duping an investor of Rs7 lakh, which was paid in multiple instalments towards a fixed deposit. Investigations suggest that several other investors may have been targeted by the company.
Authorities have taken Tara into custody, and further investigation is underway to trace the extent of the fraudulent activities.
