
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) — Two individuals have been arrested on multiple drug and firearm-related offenses following an investigation into suspected fentanyl trafficking, according to the Bowling Green–Warren County Drug Task Force.
Detectives executed a search warrant at a residence on Highland Drive after conducting surveillance. During the raid, officers reportedly seized:
Two handguns
Crack cocaine
Powder fentanyl
Marijuana
87 Xanax tablets
Nine hydrocodone tablets
$1,323 in cash
Tamia O. Matthews, 27, and Terrence O. Matthews, 35, both of Bowling Green, were arrested and booked into the Warren County Regional Jail.
Tamia O. Matthews faces the following charges:
Trafficking in a Controlled Substance (Over 28 grams of Fentanyl), 1st Degree, Class A Felony
Trafficking in a Controlled Substance (Crack Cocaine), 1st Degree, Class C Felony
Possession of a Handgun by a Convicted Felon
Tampering with Physical Evidence
Possession of Marijuana
Terrence O. Matthews was also arrested, with additional charges expected as the investigation continues.
The operation was conducted with support from the Kentucky State Police West Interdiction Team.
