Tamana Ashraf Arrested for Evading NDPS Drug Case

Batamaloo woman held for trafficking 7kg charas

The Anti-Narcotics Task Force of the Jammu and Kashmir Police successfully apprehended Tamana Ashraf, a resident of Batamaloo, who had been evading arrest for the past three years. She was wanted in connection with a drug trafficking case registered under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.

Officials revealed that Ashraf had been involved in the trafficking of over seven kilograms of charas, which was being shipped to Mumbai through courier services. Since the case registration, she had been hiding in various states to avoid law enforcement action.

Through sustained investigative efforts and tactical operations, the Anti-Narcotics Task Force traced her residence in Batamaloo and carried out the arrest. Authorities confirmed that the investigation is ongoing to identify other links in the drug trafficking network.
