FORT WASHINGTON, Md. – The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Homicide Unit has charged Tafari Clauzel, 23, of Fort Washington, in connection with the fatal shooting of 21-year-old Corenlius Wilson of Glenarden.
The shooting occurred on May 19, 2025, at approximately 12:20 a.m., when officers responded to reports of gunfire in the 2800 block of Wood Hollow Terrace. Upon arrival, police found Wilson outside the residence, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Following an intensive investigation, detectives identified Clauzel as the suspect. Preliminary findings suggest that Clauzel and Wilson were known to each other and had been involved in an ongoing dispute leading up to the shooting.
Clauzel is now charged with first-degree murder and related offenses. He was located and arrested in Broward County, Florida, on unrelated charges and is currently awaiting extradition to Prince George’s County.
