HAT YAI, Thailand — On September 6, 2025, police units from the Royal Thai Police and Provincial Police Region 9, led by Police Colonel Thammarat Phetnongchum, arrested a 25-year-old woman named Suttikarn on the outskirts of Hat Yai for attempting to deliver drugs concealed in her brassiere at a concert.
The arrest took place in the Saphan Dam community of the Khlong Hae municipality in Hat Yai district, Songkhla province. Officers found Suttikarn standing outside a convenience store when a bag of crystal methamphetamine fell from her purse. A female officer’s search uncovered more drugs hidden in her brassiere — 11 bags of crystal meth weighing 9.50 grams on one side and 61 methamphetamine pills on the other.
During questioning, Suttikarn admitted to selling methamphetamine and crystal meth for nearly a year. She revealed her prices were three meth pills for 100 baht (US$3) and 100 baht per gram of crystal meth. She said she was delivering drugs to customers in Saphan Dam after attending a concert in Hat Yai the night before.
Suttikarn has been charged with possession of a category 1 controlled substance with intent to sell and is currently detained pending further investigation to dismantle the drug network.
