Belagavi Police have arrested Santosh Kamble, a suspended police constable, on charges of killing his estranged wife, 35-year-old Kashavva Karikatti, a conductor with NWKRTC.
According to police reports, the incident took place at Karikatti’s house in Saundatti, where Kamble allegedly attacked her, left her to die, and locked the house. Authorities were alerted to the scene, leading to his arrest.
Police investigations are ongoing to determine the exact sequence of events, motives, and any possible prior threats or incidents between the accused and the victim. Legal proceedings have been initiated under the relevant sections of the law for murder and domestic violence.
