A 47-year-old man, Jason Rook, has been arrested in connection with a fatal shooting in Post Falls, Idaho. According to Post Falls Police, Rook was taken into custody near Seltice Way after authorities received a tip about his whereabouts.
Earlier that day, police had been searching for Rook after receiving a tip that he might be in the Foothill Drive area near the Spokane River. However, officers were unable to locate him there. They later found him near Seltice Way, where he was apprehended without incident.
The incident began on Monday when officers responded to a report of a shooting at a home on East Dorado Avenue, located east of North Fennecus Road. Upon arrival, police discovered a 46-year-old man dead from what appeared to be gunshot wounds.
Authorities identified Rook as the primary suspect and noted that he may have been familiar with one of the other residents of the home. Additional details surrounding the case will be released as the investigation continues.
