A massive house robbery in Himayat Nagar’s Minerva Hotel Gully was solved after Narayanguda police arrested the main accused, Sushil, near Nagpur. The accused had fled after stealing valuables worth nearly Rs2 crore, including gold, diamonds, and Rs20 lakh in cash, from a local residence.
The complaint was filed by Abhay Kedia, an associate of Rohit Kedia, the homeowner who had travelled to Dubai for his daughter’s wedding. Rohit had left his house under the care of about 20 workers, including Sushil, who hails from Bihar.
On the night of July 11, Sushil and an unidentified accomplice allegedly executed the heist and vanished without a trace. The crime was discovered the next morning, prompting police to review CCTV footage and initiate a statewide alert.
Sushil boarded a train from Nampally railway station and was traced to Nagpur, where he was arrested with the assistance of local police. He has since been brought back to Hyderabad and is currently in custody of the Narayanguda police.
The investigation is ongoing as authorities work to identify and apprehend Sushil’s accomplice and recover the stolen valuables.
