In a significant crackdown on illegal narcotics, police arrested a suspected drug peddler identified as Surindar Singh, also known as Minda, from Baba Suleman village. Authorities recovered 100 grams of heroin from his possession.
The arrest was made during a routine operation targeting local drug networks. Police stated that Singh had been on their radar for alleged involvement in drug trafficking activities.
Following his arrest, a case was registered under Sections 21, 61, and 85 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. He was taken into custody and will be presented before a magistrate for further legal proceedings.
The police emphasized their commitment to eradicating the drug menace and encouraged the public to report suspicious activities.
