In a shocking incident from Uttar Pradesh’s Baghpat district, a 24-year-old man allegedly killed his grandmother using a spade. The accused, Suraj Prajapati, has been arrested, officials confirmed on Wednesday.
According to Additional Superintendent of Police Narendra Pratap Singh, police received a distress call around 9 PM on Tuesday reporting the murder of 85-year-old Phoolo Devi in Pusar village, located under the Doghat police station limits.
Upon arrival, officers found the elderly woman had sustained fatal injuries. Preliminary investigation indicates that she was attacked with a spade by her grandson. The motive behind the brutal act is still under investigation.
Suraj Prajapati is now in police custody, and further inquiries are ongoing to determine the circumstances that led to the incident.
