Supachai Sricharoen Arrested After Wife Nannaphat Wandi Stabbed Dead

Newlywed couple's dispute ends in fatal stabbing in Sri Racha

A tragic incident unfolded in Sri Racha when a newlywed couple’s heated argument escalated into deadly violence. On the evening of June 23, police were called to a rented room in Moo 5, Khao Khansong, where 21-year-old Nannaphat Wandi from Udon Thani was found fatally stabbed on her bedroom floor.

Neighbors reported that Nannaphat and her husband, 22-year-old Supachai Sricharoen, had been married just over a year. Before the attack, neighbors heard loud shouting, and shortly after, Supachai was seen fleeing the scene on a motorbike, heading toward Rayong.

A manhunt was swiftly launched, and officers from Bowin Police Station, led by Lieutenant Colonel Somkid Yanphan, located Supachai hours later hiding in a nearby pineapple field after abandoning his motorbike. He was arrested without resistance and brought back for questioning.

Supachai admitted to stabbing his wife multiple times, attributing his actions to work-related stress and loss of control. He is currently held at Bowin Police Station and faces charges of murder. Investigations continue as authorities gather witness statements and forensic evidence to strengthen the case.

This violent episode adds to a series of troubling crimes in Sri Racha, including recent allegations against a defrocked monk accused of molesting minors. The community remains on edge as officials work to address escalating safety concerns.
