Sunny Mehra Arrested in Hammond for Narcotics and Illegal Sales

Convenience store raid uncovers marijuana, THC, and hallucinogens

HAMMOND, Louisiana — Sunny Mehra, 20, a convenience store owner, was arrested following a routine inspection that uncovered illegal drugs and narcotics activity. The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office, working with the Louisiana Office of Alcohol and Tobacco Control, found numerous illegal products on store shelves and evidence of a larger drug operation.

Mehra faces multiple charges, including two counts of possession with intent to distribute marijuana and THC. He is also charged with conspiracy to distribute a Schedule I controlled dangerous substance and possession with intent to distribute a hallucinogenic compound.

The investigation highlights law enforcement’s ongoing efforts to combat drug trafficking and illegal narcotics sales in the area.
