DORCHESTER COUNTY, S.C. (WCSC) — Sincere Joseph Lee, 23, of Summerville, has been arrested and charged with four counts of attempted murder and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime following a shooting incident Monday evening.

Shooting Incident on Canvasback Drive
The Summerville Police Department responded to multiple reports of shots fired near Woodduck and Canvasback Drive just before 6 p.m. on Monday. Witnesses reported hearing 12 to 15 shots fired during the incident.

According to Capt. Chris Hirsch, before officers could reach the scene, they observed a white vehicle leaving the neighborhood near a Dollar General store. The vehicle was occupied by several women who were shot at, but fortunately, no one was injured.

Investigation and Arrest
Upon arrival, officers found several shell casings on the road, which corroborated witness statements. One witness, who was outside with her children when the shooting occurred, described hearing the shots and seeing a black male running from the scene, holding the front of his shirt and waistband. The witness also took a photo of the suspect.

The Special Investigations Unit used the description provided by the witness to track down a suspect, later identified as Sincere Joseph Lee. Officers located Lee walking in and out of Canvasback Drive, and after confirming his identity, he was arrested without further incident.

Charges and Detention
Lee is currently being held at the Dorchester County Detention Center on charges related to the shooting. He faces four counts of attempted murder and one count of possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime.

The investigation into the shooting is ongoing, and law enforcement is continuing to gather evidence in connection with the case.
