Bismarck Woman Charged After Alleged Knife Attack Injures Two Near Shelter
A Bismarck woman was arrested early Wednesday morning after allegedly stabbing two people during an altercation near a homeless shelter.
Summer Lebeau, 26, faces two felony counts of aggravated assault with a dangerous weapon, each carrying a possible sentence of up to five years in prison. Her bond was set at $25,000 during an initial court appearance.
Bismarck Police responded just after midnight to a reported stabbing near Ministry on the Margins on North 24th Street. Officers found two 22-year-old victims — Rayden Blue Arm and Latisha Follet — with stab wounds. While Blue Arm sustained a serious injury to his lower back, Follet suffered a superficial wound near her chin and throat. Both were taken to a local hospital for treatment.
According to witness statements, the incident began with an argument between Lebeau and Follet. As Follet walked away, she was struck near the face. Witnesses say Lebeau then turned and stabbed Blue Arm in the back as he tried to leave the scene. A bloodied folding knife, approximately three inches long, was recovered nearby.
Lebeau was also transported to the hospital, where she allegedly admitted to stabbing Blue Arm and being involved in the argument with Follet. She told officers she felt threatened by both victims before the attack.
In court, Lebeau appeared in a wheelchair and claimed to have a broken foot, though no injury was noted in police documents. Prosecutors argued for high bond, citing her criminal history, probation violations, and status as a “multistate offender.” Records show her most recent probation revocation occurred in April 2024 for a drug paraphernalia conviction.
Judge Pam Nesvig agreed with the prosecution, citing Lebeau’s poor track record and risk of flight.
“Your track record is terrible,” the judge said.
Lebeau is scheduled for a preliminary hearing on September 15. Court documents show she does not currently have legal representation.
