The Government Railway Police (GRP) in Ernakulam arrested two individuals for allegedly stealing laptops and mobile phones from passengers.
The arrested accused are Sumesh, 30, from Kozhikode, and Roish Uddhin, 26, from Assam. The arrests were announced on Sunday, December 28, 2025.
The police said the duo was apprehended by a team led by Sub-Inspector Nisarudheen during the investigation of separate theft incidents on railway premises.
Authorities are continuing their probe to determine if the accused were involved in additional cases of theft across the railway network.
