In a major crackdown on drug trafficking, the Indore Crime Branch on Wednesday arrested four men and seized 57 grams of MD (Mephedrone), valued at approximately Rs60 lakh, near Steel Chouraha, in front of VIP Road.
Based on a tip-off, the Crime Branch intercepted a suspicious car and detained four individuals. They were identified as:
Sudhir Chauhan (25) – Ujjain
Dilip alias Doole Singh (34) – Agar
Dule Singh Rajput (43) – Agar
Dharmendra Singh Sisodia (29) – Jhalawar, Rajasthan
Upon searching the vehicle, police recovered the MD drug stash and seized the car used for transportation.
Preliminary investigation revealed that the accused, all habitual drug users, sourced the mephedrone from different cities at cheaper rates and planned to distribute it across Indore.
The four men have been booked under Section 8/22 of the NDPS Act and are currently under police remand for further questioning.
Officials confirmed that efforts are underway to trace the wider supply network and possible links to organized drug syndicates.
