Hyderabad Police have deported Mohamed Yagoub Mohamed Ali, a Sudanese national involved in multiple drug cases and overstaying his visa in India for over 12 years.

Arrested twice by the Hyderabad Narcotics Enforcement Wing (H-NEW), Mohamed Ali was found to be indulging in drug trafficking and maintaining connections with drug peddlers. He initially arrived in India on a student visa in July 2012 to pursue a BCA course at Osmania University but discontinued due to financial difficulties.

Despite the expiry of his passport in 2016 and visa in 2013, Mohamed Ali continued illegal activities and overstayed in the country. Acting on credible intelligence, HNEW apprehended him along with another Sudanese national found with MDMA in October 2024.

Following his arrest, the Hyderabad Police coordinated with the Foreigners Regional Registration Office (FRRO) and the Sudan High Commission to facilitate his deportation. Mohamed Ali was escorted by HNEW officers and flown back to Sudan from Mumbai.
