STOKES COUNTY, N.C. — Four vape shop managers are facing charges after a Stokes County Sheriff’s Office investigation uncovered illegal marijuana and psilocybin products.
The Special Investigation Division (SID) launched the investigation months ago, using undercover purchases to determine that products sold at the stores exceeded legal THC limits and contained illegal psilocybin.
On Nov. 20, 2025, search warrants were executed at Pinnacle One Stop Shop, Long Leaf Provisions, Cloud City, and Tobacco & Vape, located in King, Pinnacle, and Walnut Cove. Authorities seized 53 pounds of marijuana, multiple psilocybin products, and over $18,000 in cash.
Warrants have been issued for the managers of each store, including Amr Abdullah Khashafa, Yusuf Abdulla Salim, Waleed Ahmed Gumaie, and Adam Christopher Ivers. Court dates are set for Jan. 21, 2026.
The operation involved coordination with the Surry County Sheriff’s Office and the Greensboro Police Department.
