Steven Price Arrested for Stealing Over $50K in Albany County

New York man faces grand larceny and identity theft charges

ALBANY, N.Y. – Steven Price, 56, of New York, was arrested on December 19 in connection with an identity theft and grand larceny investigation in Albany County. Price is accused of stealing more than $50,000 from a local resident.

In September 2023, the victim reported a theft from their bank account. Following the investigation, State Police discovered that Price allegedly withdrew over $50,000 from the victim’s account without authorization, completing several transactions throughout the month.

On December 19, Price was apprehended in New York and transported to the Latham State Police barracks, where he was charged with Grand Larceny in the second degree and Identity Theft in the first degree.

Price was arraigned at the Guilderland Town Court and was remanded to the Albany County Correctional Facility without bail. The investigation remains ongoing.
