Stephen Williams Jr. Arrested for Car Theft in Whitehall

Granville man faces multiple larceny charges

WHITEHALL, N.Y. — Stephen Williams Jr., 37, of Granville, was arrested by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office following a theft investigation, officials said.

Detectives reported that Williams allegedly stole a vehicle from a property on Skene Street in Whitehall around 10:45 p.m. on February 8. Inside the stolen car, deputies recovered a purse containing three debit cards.

Williams was charged with one count of third-degree grand larceny and three counts of fourth-degree grand larceny. He was held at the Washington County Jail pending his appearance in the Village of Whitehall Court.

Authorities continue to investigate the incident.
