Stephen McCormick Arrested on Multiple Drug Charges in Pinehurst

Pinehurst Man Faces Charges After Seizing 21 Dosage Units of Suboxone

Stephen McCormick, 41, of Pinehurst, was arrested after a drug investigation led to the seizure of 21 dosage units of suboxone on Oak Hills Road near Westchester Circle in Pinehurst on Monday. The Moore County Sheriff’s Office conducted the investigation, which resulted in McCormick being charged with multiple drug offenses.

McCormick faces charges including possession with intent to sell and deliver a Schedule III controlled substance, selling a Schedule III controlled substance, delivering a Schedule III controlled substance, and simple possession of a Schedule III controlled substance.

Following his arrest, McCormick was committed to the Moore County Detention Center, with a secured bond set at $20,000.

Moore County Sheriff Ronnie Fields emphasized the importance of the arrest, stating, “We are committed to keeping illegal drugs out of our communities and away from our children. This arrest is another example of the hard work our deputies put in every day to make sure Moore County remains a safe place to live.”
