COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – A 49-year-old woman has been arrested for identity theft and multiple felony charges after allegedly providing false identification to law enforcement.

According to the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office (EPSO), Stephanie Bleam was located at a homeless encampment near B Street while deputies were assisting the “Keep Colorado Springs Beautiful” initiative, which aims to clean and restore areas affected by homeless settlements.

EPSO said notices had been posted weeks earlier warning occupants of the encampments about the cleanup. During the process, deputies received reports that Bleam had used a family member’s identity in court and had provided false identification to authorities.

She was arrested on September 10 at the site and booked into the El Paso County Jail. Bleam is being held on three outstanding warrants with a total bond amount of $6,700.

Authorities have not released further details, but the investigation remains ongoing.
