A Telford man has been sentenced to prison after police discovered he was supplying large quantities of cannabis across the town.

Stefan Farmer, 34, of Arleston Avenue, Arleston, Telford, was arrested in February 2025 following a police raid at his home. Officers seized vacuum-packed cannabis buds stored in an outbuilding, ready for sale. Authorities also recovered scales, zip-bags, and £50,000 in cash linked to drug activity.

Farmer previously pleaded guilty to possessing a controlled Class-B drug with intent to supply and acquiring criminal property. On Tuesday, Shrewsbury Crown Court sentenced him to two years in prison.

Detective Sergeant Andy Pond of West Mercia Police praised the sentence, saying, “This custodial sentence takes a drug dealer off the streets of Telford and protects our communities.” A police spokesperson added, “West Mercia Police will not tolerate this activity and urge anyone with information about drug supply to contact us.”
