FLORENCE COUNTY, S.C. (WPDE) — A woman has been arrested in connection with a murder that occurred earlier this month on Piano Road, authorities say.

Stargeria Jackson was charged with murder, possession of a weapon during a violent crime, and criminal conspiracy, according to the Darlington County Sheriff’s Office (DCSO). The victim, 21-year-old Chandler Martin of Florence, was pronounced dead at the scene on Monday, Nov. 10, by Darlington County Coroner Todd Hardee.

Jackson was taken into custody in the Lake City area of Florence County without incident by a team including Florence County SWAT, SLED agents, and DCSO deputies.

On Tuesday afternoon, a Darlington County Magistrate denied bond for her weapon possession and criminal conspiracy charges. A Circuit Court Judge will determine bond for the murder charge. Jackson is being held at the W. Glenn Campbell Detention Center.
