Stacey Sistrunk Arrested for Smuggling Contraband Into Jail

Mississippi Jail Employee Accused of Supplying Inmates with Contraband

PEARL RIVER COUNTY, Miss. (WLOX) – A jail kitchen worker was arrested for allegedly smuggling contraband into the Pearl River County Jail and distributing it to inmates.

On March 8, 2025, investigators served arrest warrants on 56-year-old Stacey Sistrunk, a contract kitchen employee from Slidell, Louisiana, along with 45-year-old inmate Talafarrow Keyes Sr. of Gulfport.

During a search of the jail kitchen, authorities discovered additional contraband in the possession of two other inmates, identified as 31-year-old Kewane Latiker of Jackson and 33-year-old Jeremy King of Biloxi.

Sistrunk was booked into the Pearl River County Criminal Justice Facility, while Keyes, Latiker, and King were removed from trustee status and later returned to the State Prison System.
